I would say today was a normal day like any other. I’m sitting in my office munching on my burger and wishing I had a double shot of something slipped in my Pepsi. All while browsing through tons of files – displaced Invoices, digging for receipt’s and matching them up with emails. WHY haven’t the people under me been canned yet! Why must I dig through this mess. For God sakes- doesn’t CFO mean bigger check and more time to browse for my holiday knick knacks??? Clearly that answers a no.
Then I start to think…. wow all of those days I sat at my desk twiddling my thumbs thinking I was screwing over my boss because hated him- oh how he would have piles of work during my two week vacation….funny HA…jokes on me now huh? You never think of these things as you are glowing ear to ear when they announce that promotion choice. LOL
Much to my dismay, we currently use QuickBooks as our accounting software- yep you heard me right. QuickBooks. Millions of dollars in assests and we are using……QuickBooks? Im not even going to go stark raving mad at this time and rant about which version…they may be tracking my IP address. LOL. We’ve all heard of these things happening. Well apparently manual entries and matching up reciept emails are the two magically painstaking words of the day. I am off ladies and gents to save and clean up our hedge funds financial disaster! :/…sigh…at times like this I wish I had that phone booth to jump in and out of. How I envy Clark Kent.
